e.g. "I started this hobby five years ago… now I do it every weekend… in the future I plan to…"
e.g. "There was an issue with… we tackled it by… overall I feel that this experience taught me…"
- Compare with someone else — "Unlike my brother, who…"
- Describe feelings — "What really stood out for me was how I felt…"
- Speculate about the future — "I imagine that in a few years…"
- Reading bullets word-for-word instead of speaking naturally.
- Stopping before 1.5 minutes — they will let you talk for the full 2.
- Going off-topic — always tie back to the bullet points.
